What to Wear
Dress codes are informal.
Daytime temperatures are generally warm, so bring lots of light clothing, supplemented by light sweaters for the cool evenings and heavier clothing for the Parc des Volcans and Nyungwe.
During the day, wearing cotton clothing is the most comfortable option due to the rising temperatures. However, at night, it is necessary to wear boots and a heavy sweater to stay warm in the freezing weather. Given that gorilla trekking involves traversing jungles, it is highly likely that there will be rainfall. It is imperative to don warm attire, sturdy footwear suitable for walking or hiking, headgear, and a lightweight raincoat or parka. It is recommended to use garden gloves and gaiters to avoid being stung by nettles.
Safari
We recommend that you bring neutral safari attire for your Rwanda safari. The color options are khaki, brown, beige/tan, and green. The choice of these colors is suitable for safari trip due to their compatibility with the region and their appropriateness for various reasons.
When tracking gorillas, wear sturdier clothing to protect against stinging nettles, and solid walking shoes. A hat and sunglasses provide protection against the sun, and a waterproof jacket may come in handy in the moist mountains.
